Franchise India 2012, the 10th edition of Asia's biggest Franchise & Retail exhibition held its Franchise Awards 2012 & Star Retailer Awards 2012 on 4th November, 2012 at Shangri La's Eros Hotel, New Delhi. The splendid show was attended by the biggest and the most reputed names in the franchise and retail industry. The highlight of the evening was Franchise India's unique CSR initiative for enabling 'Mompreneurship' in India launched by Shilpa Shetty. Story telling by Neelesh Misra, famous for his Yaadon Ka Idiot Box made for an entertaining session at the event.rnrnFranchise Awards 2012 are India's Topmost Honour in Franchising. Franchisors, Franchisees, Master Franchisees and Entrepreneurs all over India had applied for the Awards considered to be the industry's top accolade.rnrnStar Retailer Awards is the only Awards of its kind which celebrates the best in Indian retailing. It is a singular platform for everyone from independent entrepreneurial retailers to the largest supermarket groups. These Awards celebrated the outstanding achievements across the retail fraternity. rnrnThe corporate social responsibility initiative of Franchise India 2012 this year was to launch the 'Mompreneur'. The objective was to create an enabling ecosystem that will empower women and get them to draw on their inherent strengths and also overlay business opportunities most suited for mothers. Actor cum business entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty who has recently become a mother herself was roped in to raise awareness for the need for moms to be in business.
