global Discovery Schools, a chain of K-12 schools has said that it is all set to organise the All - India Tech Launchpad competition for students from classes 4 to 9.
The Tech Launchpad competition has two categories – the Game Challenge for classes 4 to 6, and the App Contest for classes 6-9. By way of this competition, global Discovery Schools aims at unlocking the creative potential in today’s children and enabling them with technology to give shape and form to their ideas.
“We would like to encourage children to be innovative and use technology as a tool to solve real world problems. With training from global Discovery Schools’ technical experts, last year children were able to make mobile apps that addressed issues including waste management, women’s safety, support for cancer patients and many more. We look forward to a large participation from young innovators this year as well,” said Vinesh Menon, COO, global Discovery Schools.
In the App Contest category, participants will design and create a mobile app that serves a social cause in the areas of Education, Environment, Health, Poverty and Civic Facilities.
In the Game Challenge category, participants will design and create an educational computer game that helps in learning a difficult topic in one of the following subjects in the subjects of Math, Science, Social Science, Language & Reading Skills, and Computer Science.
global Discovery Schools will provide all the required technical training to the participants. Both categories of the Tech Launchpad competition will take place in three rounds and attractive prizes will be awarded to the top winners.
