Ziffi.com secures Rs 15 crore funds from Orios Venture Partners

Ziffi.com, earlier known as docsuggest, is India's first online booking system for beauty salons, doctors and health tests has raised Series A funding of Rs 15 crore from Orios Venture Partners.

Covering over a 1,000 salons, 15,000 Doctors and 5,000 Diagnostic Centres, operating in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore & Hyderabad Ziffi.com is India's largest and most comprehensive wellness booking system. Till date, the company has successfully booked over 250,000 appointments.

The funding will be deployed to expand Ziffi.com’s network of service providers, strengthen technology interface, enhance design and initiate an aggressive marketing and brand building campaign to spread awareness about the gamut of service offerings now available at Ziffi.com.

According to Shantanu Jha, Founder, Ziffi.com “The Company was founded with the vision of providing power to consumers to enable them to make informed health and personal care decisions accessible and available on a single platform. Ziffi.com, is fastest way of finding and booking appointments with the best of Salons, Spas, Doctors, Diagnostic Centers.  The funding will be deployed to expand the establishment across operating cities so as to provide customers a convenient and simplified platform to book at their favourite salon or with their favourite doctor. We are delighted to partner with Orios Venture Partners to scale Ziffi to address the varied health and personal care needs of people at large.”

Commenting on the deal announcement, Rehan Yar Khan, Managing Partner, Orios Venture Partners, "The online health, wellness and personal care category is a very large and exciting category given its high volume, usage and frequency.  Every second month, customers need to get haircuts, beauty treatments, doctor visits and health checkups wherein making appointments on the phone is a slow and tedious process. With Ziffi, appointments are just a click away. We estimate that there are currently 3 million people at the technology adoption cycle in India ready to use such a service and by 2020 this number will swell close to 100M people. We are impressed by the company’s vision and the incredible work they have done so far and we are delighted to back them in their next phase of growth.

Headquartered in the hot start-up hub of Powai in Mumbai, Ziffi was founded by IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur alumni in 2010. Docsuggest.com has been rebranded with an aim to widen focus on enabling bookings across health and wellness spectrum. Through an online platform or via a smartphone with its soon to be released mobile application, Ziffi.com will solve the much needed problem of booking appointments for haircuts, beauty treatments, heath checkups and doctors. Ziffi.com has a team of over 40 people across the 4 cities they offer their services in.
