Young Entrepreneurs from IIT Delhi won innovation competition at the International Youth Festival, Russia

The Russian Union of Youth (RUY) organised the International Youth Festival at City of Chita, Russia. The Russian Union of Youth (RUY) is a non political, non-governmental, non-profit public youth organization founded in 1990. 

 

The RUY’s main goal is to develop personality of young individuals by implementing the programs that let young people expand their range of vision and interests, help them define their life choice and every year they organise forums, festivals and other events to collaborate with the world at large. 

 

This year from 2nd July to 6th July, the RUY in collaboration with SCO Countries, organised for Youth Festival at the City of Chita. The International Youth Forum at Chita was grouped into various categories such as, art and culture, young entrepreneurs, media, creativity and innovation, sports, pageant queen and humanity.  The Delegation from India was chosen based on equal representation in each of the above categories and 47 young enthusiastic and dynamic professionals represented India at the Festival.

 

In the Young Entrepreneurs category the core participants were alumni of IIT Delhi; Sachidanand Swami (CEO & Founder - Invoxel Technologies), Head of the Delegation, Ankit Prasad (Founder & CEO of Touchtalent), Uday Singh (Entrepreneur in Healthcare) with Sumit Bhandari (Entrepreneur in Mobile Media).

 

Prasad expressed Touchtalent as a platform for everything creative. Touchtalent helps its users to showcase, secure and sell their creativity while Sachidanand Swami at Invoxel Technologies is working on multi user computing platform for digital surface.

 

The Entrepreneurs team won the competition at the business start-up category, wherein a case study on “Innovation model in India” was presented by the Indian team. In a round table format, questions were raised with respect to the project implementation and impact at large, monitoring and value generation, use of technology and process standardization. The team responded to all the queries and made it to the winning of the competition. Alexi, Moderator, Russian Youth Forum was keen encouraging Indian team in the competition.

 

The entire Youth Festival was spotlessly organised by young enthusiastic and dynamic leaders at Russia and the team of organisers was lead by Tatania Seliverstova, International Director of the Russian Union of Youth. There were 1500 delegates present from 15 SCO countries including India, China, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Kyrgystan, Tajikstan, Uzbekistan, Afganistan, Iran, Mongolia, Belarus and Turkmenistan. The use of technology and representation of culture was breathtaking during the 5 days youth festival.
