TiE Uttar Pradesh and Syndicate Bank Entrepreneurship Research and Training Centre organised the finale of TiE Young Entrepreneurs, 2013 on Sunday at IIT Kanpur. The aim of the event was to nurture school students to become future entrepreneurs.
TiE Uttar Pradesh and Syndicate Bank Entrepreneurship Research and Training Centre organised the finale of TiE Young Entrepreneurs, 2013 on Sunday at IIT Kanpur. The aim of the event was to nurture school students to become future entrepreneurs.
11 teams from nine ICSE/CBSE schools of Kanpur competed in the final event and presented their business plans to the jury which included industrialists RK Agarwal, Rajesh Kasera and IIT-K faculty member Deepu Phillip.
The joint winners of the programme were Mariampur and DPS-Kalyanpur Schools who presented their business plan of 'Green barter: Online sale of second hand goods' and 'Surplus stocks based on barter system' respectively.
The first runner-ups were students from Virendra Swarup Education Centre and second runner-ups were from Methodist High School.
A tablet pc was awarded to each member of the winning teams while a gift voucher of Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,500 was given to each member of the first and second runner-up teams respectively. The winners will also have an option of participating in the global competition to be held in June in Washington, US.
