The Entrepreneurship School Launches new Bachelor Course on Entrepreneurship

Gurgaon-based, The Entrepreneurship School (TES) which offers courses in entrepreneurship has introduced a unique Bachelor’s course - B.COM + BBA. The course combines management studies with commerce and entrepreneurship studies, aiming to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship education in India.  The school has also announced admissions for the academic year 2014-15 for India’s first full time 1-year post-graduate level program in entrepreneurship offered by TES.

The three year full time course focuses on students who want to specialize in areas viz., venture development, new business analysis, business consultancy, enterprise architecture; and who wish to develop their capacity to own and operate a business.

The final year students of the course get to complete the last two semesters at Management Development Institute Singapore (MDIS) with internships in emerging SMEs and start-ups and an opportunity to launch own start-up.

Announcing the admissions Sanjeeva Shivesh, CEO and Founder, TES said, “Our aim is to promote the unique pedagogy of TES, which is founded on the tenants of ‘learning by doing’. The course lays emphasis on the softer aspects of personality development that are now becoming even more important as there is a mounting demand for entrepreneurial managers who combine specializations that enable strong core skills in opportunity identification,  critical thinking, data interpretation, leadership, communication and teamwork. This is where the course is an ideal fit.

TES is currently supporting eight start-ups in IT, commerce, telecom, fashion, travel, healthcare, water and education sectors. Some of the members of TES advisory board include luminaries from the academic world such as Dr. Chris Van Der Hoven, Innovation Consultant, Cambridge University and Founder, Crowd Cabin; Prof. R. C. Bhattacharya, Vice Chairman, Globsyn Business School; Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and Professor, Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi etc.
