The new facility will generate employment opportunities for the IT students of Patna
Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will inaugurate an incubation centre at Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)-Patna on November 8, as reported by PTI.
"To further boost the IT exports and facilitation in the state of Bihar, STPI is creating new incubation facility of 8000 sq ft with an estimated investment of Rs 10 crore for catering the needs of the start-up companies and young entrepreneurs," a government release said.
The new facility will generate employment opportunities for the IT students of Patna and the facility is reported to be operational within two years.
Founded in the year 1991 by Ministry of Communication and IT, STPI intends to promote IT/ITeS exports from India and besides, since the inception of the company, it has expanded its footprint up to 53 centres across the country. Meanwhile, STPI established its centre in Patna in the year 2008.
