SunEdison India and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) in Chennai, under the MSME department have recently announced a four-week solar installation training programme. The programme is scheduled from July 29 to August 29.
The programme will take place at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) campus and include 120 hours of coursework donated by SunEdison, with advisory assistance from the Solarillion Foundation.
“SunEdison is committed to transforming lives through innovation. In this case, we are collaborating with EDI Chennai to help young people become solar entrepreneurs,” said Pashupathy Gopalan, President, SunEdison Asia (excluding China), Middle-East, South Africa, and Australia.
The course includes solar module installation, with technical training provided by SunEdison. Candidates holding a diploma or an engineering degree are eligible for the programme. The fee for the course is Rs 15,000, which covers the cost for all materials.
The course will also teach them the entrepreneurial skills for business growth.
