The state government is committed to enhancing technical education facilities in the state to make skilled man power available to the industry.
Punjab Industry Minister Madan Mohan Mittal said that the state government will soon launch a Rs 1,100 crore special scheme for small and medium enterprises with the Centre's sharing in the outlay, as reported by PTI.
Mittal said while presiding over a function held here that the state government is committed to enhancing technical education facilities in the state to make skilled man power available to the industry.
The minister further said that the state government would also make efforts to uplift the traditional industrial clusters of steel at Mandi Gobindgarh, hosiery at Ludhiana and sports goods at Jalandhar.
