Seedstars World, a start-up competition for emerging markets, was founded by Alisee de Tonnac and Pierre-Alain Masson and is supported by Switzerland-based venture builder Seedstars.
Scandid, founded by former Microsoft engineers Madhur Khandelwal and Sushil Choudhari, raised $250,000 in angel funding last year. Recently, it powered Payback, the American Express-backed loyalty marketing platform that uses the former's search engine to trawl online stores in India and find products.
Vikram Ahuja, partner in Kyron Global Accelerator and a jury member, said, "Scandid's mobile-first strategy has a global appeal to capture the mindshare of European retailers."
