Peesh Venture Capital (PVC), a US-based venture capital firm focused on funding and nurturing passionate entrepreneurs and disruptive technologies concluded its maiden season of Startup Saturdays on 30th May 2015 at PVC Accelerator, Gurgaon.
Post a rigorous series of sessions, 4 ventures were selected from over a 100 applications to get access to the benefits - financial, strategic, technical and operational mentorship to scale up and further build on their services.
The select startups include SenseGiz, a manufacturer of innovative consumer electronics products in the Internet of Things & Wearable tech space, College Bol, India’s 1st Social & One-stop College Selection Platform, and Transtutors, Internet’s Largest Academic Q&A Bank aimed at providing homework help to students via full time online Tutors, and Madpiggy, an advertisement app, where merchants can publish exciting deals and the users in a particular defined area can view and buy those deals.

A series of 5 four-hour startup sessions were held at the PVC accelerator and were attended by venture capitalists, mentors, and angel investors from Gurgaon and Delhi region. A number of startups came in from Delhi, Karnataka and Mumbai to share their past experiences and domain expertise before revealing their plan to revolutionize the education and wearable’s sectors.
With an objective to collaborate with the ecosystem players to search India’s next big venture, Startup Saturdays- organized by PVC- witnessed participation of Rahul Khandelwal (Lumis Partners), Ashish Taneja (GrowX Ventures) and Ekmeet Singh, GSF, and Nishant Singhal (YouWeCan).
