Mumbai-based Super Jobs Pvt Ltd, the company behind jobs search & resume building app under the same brand, has acquired SaaS startup Viraltrics for an undisclosed sum, as per a company statement.
Super Jobs was founded in September 2013 by Faisal Memon, a computer science engineer, who has previously worked at L&T as a software developer.
Super Jobs is working on disrupting the job space ground up, wherein, they connect people only to the jobs/candidates that match. "This a tough challenge and we are super excited to solve the same. This requires a team of very smart people and we are looking to grow to 300 people team in next 6 months," Memon said.
"We are not only seeing companies from India sign up, but also across the globe. It’s very encouraging and validation of the problem we are solving. For the immediate future, we are going to focus aggressively on India and it’s great that we are getting lot of interest from the right set of people to make that happen," Memon added further.
As a first step in this direction, the firm has acquired Viraltrics, a mobile SaaS startup for deeplinked referrals. As part of the acquisition, Bhavna Muraleedharan, Founder, Viraltrics has joined Super Jobs as Co-founder. Muraleedharan has vast experience in mobile domain. Having worked on mobile apps, big data etc, led her to build Viraltrics.
"Our acquisition of half a million user base was organic and we were using Viraltrics for the same, thats how I met Bhavna. Over the months that we used her product, Bhavna and I met frequently to integrate new feature roll outs as well as brainstorm growth ideas, optimising user experience etc. During one such discussion, we happened to share common vision of how jobs should connect people to companies. Our common interest to disrupt the jobs space led to the acquisition," recalled Memon.
