Over 231 students from diverse streams of various colleges yesterday got selected at packages up to Rs 2.30 lakh per annum during mega job fair.
During mega job fair organised by the Gulzar Group of Institutions in collaboration with Board of apprenticeship Training, North India & Directorate of Technical Education, Jammu & Kashmir, over 231 students from diverse streams of various colleges yesterday got selected at packages up to Rs 2.30 lakh per annum. Fair was inaugurated by Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Secretary, Technical education, J&K and Anoop Bansal, Director-Gulzar Group of Institutions.
According to the press release, more than 1,500 students from the different colleges of the state participated in the event. After thorough selection procedure the companies chose 231 aspirants for different jobs based on their performances in the written test, group discussions and personal interview as per the criteria of the companies.
There were more than 25 prominent national and international brands including Videocon Telecom, Yarik International, MG Industries, Mendley Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Serco Global Services and many others in event who offered Jobs at packages of Rs 2.50 lakh per Annum. The concerned representatives briefed the company’s profile, which was followed by the GD and written test for students to check the domain knowledge.
Shah said “We need to impart good human values and positive attitude, apart from technical skills amongst the students, so that India can become a prosperous and peaceful nation.” Bansal adds that this Job Fair was one of its kinds in the state, as it provided jobs to the students of diploma holders. He further added that the Gulzar group shall continue to provide such employment opportunities in the region.
