Simplilearn was founded in 2009 as Simplilearn.com, a project management blog, by founder and CEO Krishna Kumar after his company TechUnified was acquired by ORG Informatics in 2007. Bengaluru based Simplilearn is a provider of professional certification training which lso has office in Houston, US.
Simplilearn offers more than 100+ professional certification training courses across 11 verticals through its multiple-modes of training – Classroom Training, Self-Learning Online Training and Instructor-Led Online Classroom Training. The multiple-mode training was initiated by Simplilearn to suit the different needs of working professionals.
"The numbers for Simplilearn has been amazing. The international business is doing well over the last few quarters. It has seen exponential growth, and the market is very large, which is why investors are looking to tap in," said an official familiar with the deal, as cited by ET.
The online learning industry is likely to reach $107 billion in 2015, as projected by Market research firm Global Industry Analysts.
