Kyron Global Accelerator launches its third batch of startups

Kyron Global Accelerator is bringing in the New Year with a bang, starting with an impressive lineup of six startups from Bangalore. This is Kyron's third batch of startups, with a focus on enterprise, travel and digital media products. The winter programme will feature startups Cubito, Xpense Manager, Ewya Media, Viamagus, Cashkumar and Adwyze.

Founded in 2012 by tech veteran Lalit Ahuja, Kyron focuses on early and growth stage tech startups using emerging platforms such as mobile, social and cloud to disrupt industries such as retail, travel, education, financial services and media.

Asked about the new batch, Lalit Ahuja, Founding Partner, Kyron Global Accelerator said, "We are very excited to onboard 6 high potential companies into our third cohort. Based on our recent successes, we will continue to focus our startup companies on fundraising and in delivering business growth. Our expanded investor network now includes prominent angel and institutional funds in India, and a very active network of angels out of Europe. Additionally, we will fully leverage our experience of operating corporate accelerators to put our startups in front of preeminent business leaders running some of the largest corporates globally."

Kyron has built a reputation for nurturing thriving startups. 2014 saw capital raised by two portfolio companies (Scandid, Teritree Technologies), one acquisition (Bookpad Inc. was acquired by Yahoo) and extremely rapid enterprise growth for Buzzinga and Lost Click Found. The third batch will continue putting entrepreneurs ahead of the game and directly in front of global investors while targeting business growth via strategic, tactical corporate partnerships.

Here is a brief note about the selected startups:

Cubito: A transportation logistics automation startup, infusing intelligence into business processes involving transportation. Cubito is the winner of the startup boot camp, Berlin's event held in India and also Indian Sustainability national awards finalists.

Xpense Manager: A cloudapps Software as a Service company addressing traditional problems in areas of business productivity and finance domain by devising applications which are user centric and user focused than process driven. XpenseManager is first one of such application which is targeted to simplify process of expense claims and reimbursements inside companies by way of supporting the business workflow of approvals and support for policies for employee expense and reimbursements.

Eywa Media Innovations: Eywa Media is a product that would make TV watching interactive and fun. They are working with leading broadcasters in India.

Viamagus: Is a SaaS product startup that helps simplify the way businesses and individuals build and maintain their online presence and do business online. Viamagus' cloud based tools help you build websites and portfolios, blogs, Email/SMS Campaigns, landing pages and many more very quickly and in a code-free and fully hosted manner. They already have over 100 customers and are looking to grow exponentially in the next few months.

Cashkumar: Is one of the leading online platforms which provide the best rates for foreign currency exchange in Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune. With a stable aggregation platform backed by a reverse bidding process, travelers can easily buy or sell their foreign currency and travel insurance at the best possible rates.

Adwyze: A marketing optimisation platform which allows marketers to improve the performance of their marketing budgets. It has won the 1st prize at MIT Global Startup Labs, won FB Ads API access after winning a hackathon beating out other companies in APAC. Have also been selected for Google Launch pad. Currently working with India's top 3 e-tailers in private beta. Have also raised the seed round from a private angel.
