The two countries aim at enhancing the bilateral trade, which has huge potential. The percentage share of trade is less than 1 per cent of global trade on both sides. Italy had launched a ‘Go India’ movement in 2007, wherein it raised a Rs 1,700 crore fund from seven banks to help Italian SMEs do business with India.
The delegation will seek joint ventures, technical collaborations, licensing, franchising, distribution channels and mergers and acquisitions and will promote Italian brands.
