A high-level delegation will visit India to engage in negotiations that will make Israel and India inch closer towards signing a Free Trade Agreement. This was said by the senior official of the Israel Mission in India. India and Israel will gain immensely once the two countries sign the pact because that will allow them to deal in trading activities and increase their shipment to each other’s country without paying tariff. The small Indian units, keen to expand their businesses to emerging markets like Israel would look to capitalise on this opportunity.
The Indian manufacturing sector has a significant presence of SMEs and it will stand to gain immensely from the pact because they will get access to other markets through Israel. The Indian textile is another area that presents immense scope for the India SMEs to generate business.
The Indian and Israeli SMEs can explore opportunities for mutual co operation and growth in areas such as infrastructure, real estate, homeland security, software services, telecom, medical equipment, agriculture and financial services.
