The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), a statutory authority of the government of Botswana have signed an agreement of mutual cooperation for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sectors in the two countries.
The two countries will collaborate to set up technology-cum-business incubation centres, developing policies and institutional framework for SME development in Botswana. India will share its experience of developing the SME sector in terms of skill transfer incubation centres and sharing technology.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Vice President of Botswana, Lieutenant General Mompati Sebogodi Merafhe, by HP Kumar, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC and Dr TTK Matome, Chief Executive Officer, LEA, Botswana.
