Hushbabies.com, a leading baby care e-tailer has announced its acquisition of online kids apparel brand, Mangostreet.com. The company, however, have not disclosed the financial details of the deal yet. Mohit Yadav and Rahul Yadav, founders of Mangostreet would now join Hushbabies.com
After acquisition, Hushbabies will be expanding its current categories to kids wear (4-12 age group), which has been the target audience for Mangostreet. Apart from this recent acquisition, Hushbabies had also recently acquired BabyBox.in, an information portal for young parents. The company would also be focusing on entering private label markets where the talent and resources acquired would be helpful.
Hushbabies had recently in June, this year raised an undisclosed Series A funding from IndoUS Venture Partners.
Apart from Husbabies, there have been few other acquisitions that occurred in the year. Flikart had bought electronics and gadgets e-store, Letsbuy.com and Snapdeal took over online selling sports equipments portal, esportsbuy.com. Howver, both of them were closed within just three and two months post their acquisition respectively.
Hushbabies’ potential customers include parents and parents-to-be with products ranging from baby care, clothes and toys.
