Understanding the increase in queries about local businesses, Google has recently added a new dashboard feature to its Local Business Centre (LBC). This feature would enable the small and medium businesses, with or without a company website, to not only strengthen but also gauge their performance online.
LBC is a tool that businesses can use to create free listing of their business so that when potential customers search Google Maps for local information, they find their business, their address, hours of operation, even photos of their products/services.
A business need not have a website of its own for getting itself listed here. The new dashboard feature will give businesses an insight into the ways their local listings are found on Google and would help them u
nderstand the consumers' minds accurately, thus empowering them to take informed decisions about attracting potential customers.
