Global Network Mentor on Road set to empower MSMEs and startups

Mentor on Road, an Economic Development agency and Global Network and an International Trade advisory firm has announced that it will be travelling across India Covering 18 states, 27 cities, in 65 days, mentoring 6000 plus companies. 

Mentor on Road project is aimed at supporting rural enterprises, MSMEs, startups & young professionals who seek guidance & networking support for their business, talent and ideas. During the course of the project, the mentor plans to travel by road, across the country meeting rural enterprises, young entrepreneurs, professionals, MSMEs, industry associations, Academic partners, Gujarati samaj, community leaders etc to guide and support the businesses for international market linkage, over a long period of time.

A local mentor from each city will join the tour & will be with the chief mentor for two days & will be trained for continuity for one year. Mentors will connect companies to global value chains & supply chains in India.

Mentor on Road shall provide an opportunity to the beneficiary companies to connect them to international markets through various modes like Skype meetings, Video conference, Email introductions, Whatsapp, Social media etc. Mentors shall also be offering solutions to companies to their pain points in areas of finance, marketing, production, HR, IPR, innovations etc through our partner network like technology partner, Media partner, banking partner, hospitality partner, GPS partner, mileage partner, logistics partner, digital partner & insurance partner. 

Social media of Facebook, linkedin, twitter, whatsapp & Instagram are being used to promote the project.
Mentor on Road has mentors from four countries: Manitoba - Canada, Germany, USA & China who will support the trip in-between geographic segments.

“We are also meeting Gujarati Samaaj in each of the 27 cities to share with them the message of PM Narendra Modi that Gujaratis outside Gujarat need to teach their kids to read & write Gujarati language also because they generally only speak Gujarati language at home but can't read or write. We will also mentor the Gujarati youngsters and businesses on international market access & CSR for local community,” said an official spokesperson.

“District Collectors in each of the 27 locations will inaugurate the event where we will do presentation on Make in India & take questions on pain points of industry & at the end of the tour, submit a report to PM task force for SME's,” added the spokesperson.

Mentor on Road shall be organizing interactions of 50 to 200 companies at each location with local industry associations & management / engineering education institutions.

On 21 June, Mentor on Road will celebrate International yoga day, which was announced after an appeal by PM Narendra Modi to UN in Dehradun with a discussion on “Role & importance of Yoga in business development in modern times.”
