Online gaming company Games2win has raised around $2 million from US-based Clearstone Venture Partners in Series C funding. The VC firm has earlier also invested in Games2win in two rounds. The latest round will be used for acquiring games and building team overseas.
“Given that Games2win has a direct-to-consumer network growing 20 per cent month-on-month, it now wants to leverage the opportunity to feed its network with best of breed titles (made in house and also acquired from the market),” said Alok Kejriwal, CEO, Games2win, in a press release on Monday.
Games2win had first raised capital from Clearstone Venture Partners and SVB Holdings. Further it raised $6 million as part of its Series B round in March 2011 from same investors. In March 2012, Nirvana Venture Advisors had acquired 10 per cent stake in Games2win investing an undisclosed amount.
Games2win was founded in 2007, by Alok Kejriwal and Mahesh Khambadkone and is headquartered in Mumbai.
