Canon launches new printers targeting SMBs, Government Institutions

Canon launches new printers targeting SMBs, Government Institutions

Digital Imaging firm Canon India Pvt. Ltd today introduced the new "MF 200" range of business Laser Multi-function printers (MFPs) designed for offices. The new Laser MFDs - MF 221D, MF 217W, MF 226dn and MF 229dw - come loaded with a host of productivity and convenience features, some of them made by Canon, especially for the Indian user.

Ultra-Fast Rendering (UFR-LT2) for instance, optimises printer and desktop data processing; Indian Legal Duplexing helps print on customized media dimensions; On-Demand Fixing Technology regulates power consumption. All of these together, offer seamless printer performance for an office environment.

The MF 200 series will address customer requirements like lowest cost per page with the bundled toner cartridge delivering up to 1,700 pages. Indian organizations are looking at consolidating their print environment and with the help of MF 200 series customers can get fast quality prints and scans, copy, fax solutions, easy-to-use features and versatile connectivity. These printers offer high memory capacity, intuitive touch-screen and energy consumption. The new-age designs of these printers are scratch proof and resistant to dusty environment. The new Laser MFDs are suited for office environments of sectors like BFSI, Government, Enterprises and SMB customers.

Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India Pvt. Ltd, said, "Indian offices across various verticals are adopting Laser MFDs to improve their productivity, save cost, be more efficient and simplify their printing infrastructure. Our new range of Laser printers is designed to simplify their printing environment and workflow, making it an ideal office printer. We have plans to focus on MAHE segment and are targeting a business growth of 25% by 2016."

Gautam Paul, Assistant Director & Head - Consumer Systems Group, Canon India, said, "We have dedicated teams within Canon to work with B2B and B2G segments and our new MF 200 series will help address the requirements of these sectors. With the help of our new programs, we will closely work with the VARs and SI community to expand our reach even in tier II and tier III cities."

Canon will be launching new dedicated Partnership programs for VARs and SIs namely Canon Corporate Reseller Program (CCR) and Office Cartridge Reseller Program (OCR) to target the B2B markets. With their help, Canon will be focusing on cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh for the MF 200 series.
