The 5th National Cluster Summit 2012 is a long awaited industry event scheduled on 18th to 20th October 2012 at Hotel Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon. This year’s Summit is a landmark event as it also marks the 15th year of Cluster formation in India.
The objective of the Summit is to take stock, explore needs and new directions to the cluster movement and enable networking amongst Indian SMEs and their eco-system. The Summit would be attended by about 1000 delegates from Small, Medium and Large enterprises, business leaders, experts and policy makers. The Summit will be graced by Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.
“Cluster formation in which CII initiated itself 15 years back is today a full fledged movement which is translating into best business practices and return on investments. Our Clusters are not only building self sufficient eco systems, but augmenting a competitive supply base. Clusters have proved themselves to be true friend and guide for SMEs as well as OEMs, time and again,” said Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII.
The highlight of the Summit includes 'Cluster Championship Awards' and 'Kaizen Awards' to felicitate companies who have achieved best results through Cluster approach.
The Summit will focus issues such as Leadership in Manufacturing, Indian Production System, Enhancing Supplier Competitiveness, Financing for MSMEs, Cost Competitiveness etc.
