Bank of India presented the second edition of India\'s TOP SME 100 AWARDS 2014 organised by India SME Forum on 2nd August in the presence of Hon’ble speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan and Hon’ble Union Minister of MSME Kalraj Mishra.

Jury member Vijayalakshmi R. Iyer, Chairperson and Managing Director, Bank of India, said, “The India’s Top SME 100 awards are aimed at celebrating India’s top performing SMEs, marketing the capabilities of the winning SME’s to regional and global investors, providing opportunities for SMEs to network and raise capital and identifying a continuous and sustainable pipeline of SME’s for a potential secondary listing of SME’s (IPO) that can attract equity capital for growth. In line with the strategy of India SME Forum to propel the SME Movement by nurturing entrepreneurship and support innovative globally competitive SMEs in India: the India SME 100 Ranking will act as catalyst to identify and recognize such SMEs for eventually large global oriented companies. The Awards also hope to inspire, willing and able SMEs that have the potential to be the world class enterprises and offer them the platform to promote themselves to investors and partners top sustain growth.”
Out of the 63,819 nominations, The Top 100 SMEs were selected through a rigorous process on the basis of both financial and non-financial indicators. While the financial indicators of Growth, Performance and Financial strength were keenly evaluated, balanced emphasis was given to the non-financial indicators covering Innovation, International Outlook, People Capital and Corporate Governance.
