Cardekho.com, flagship portal of GirnarSoft was announced overall winner of the 'Website of The Year' award at recently held 2014 edition of WOTY awards in Hyderabad. The portal was chosen for the win by Indian public because of its content, navigation, design and recommendation intention.

The overall winner of the Website of the Year - Cardekho.com, is the website with the best relative review within its category. Cardekho.com won the award from amongst more than 250 websites that were in contention for the honor. The portal had won the same award in 2012 as well. Another product from the same parent company - pricedekho.com, bagged the prize for 'Best Website in the Comparison Category'.

Cardekho.com has been witnessing a growing number of visitors on the portal since its inception. Girnarsoft reports that a total traffic of 100 million (10 crore) for viewing cars and bikes in 2014 was recorded representing a growth of 45 per cent over previous year.

Given the increase in number of smartphone users, post the launch of cardekho.com apps on Android and Apple appstore platforms, the mobile traffic showed a growth of 165 per cent over previous year. A clear preference of Cardekho.com app amongst users was visible as it has been downloaded by more than 600,000 people in a short span of 6 months of the release.

Commenting on the website's growth, Amit Jain said, "We focus on offering a collective experience to the users and very precise information to suffice their research requirement. We had close to 3,00,000 used cars listed on our website during 2014, up by 110 per cent from last year's data. The leads from new car buyers have seen a hike of 35 per cent from last year. Users have numerous options to choose from and a friendly expert to help them arrive at a car buying decision at Cardekho.com."

Backed with a user-friendly interface, strong intent towards customer satisfaction and a design which catches user interest, Cardekho.com emerged as a true winner for this award due to the popularity gained over the period of the time.

The Website of the Year (WOTY) India election is the online public award of the year which singles out the best and most popular websites in 21 different categories like Automotive, Media, Sports and Shopping. The award is independent and objective and is organized by MetrixLab, a global provider of consumer insights and marketing analytics. This year, 252 websites were nominated in these 21 categories; more than 344,000 votes were cast between 27th October and 5th December.

Founded in March 2008, Cardekho.com is drawing close to 11 million visits per month with 7.5 million unique visitors per month. The company recently acquired another top automotive portal Gaadi.com to add to its used car portfolio.
