Rajasthan being one of the SME dominated areas, ASSOCHAM aims to draw around Rs. 5, 00, 000 crore from the investment mart over the coming 3 years. The state also has a tremendous untapped potential in various sectors.
According to a study by ASSOCHAM, although Rajasthan government has been able to attract significant investment in sectors such as real estate, mining, power, irrigation and manufacturing, the government failed to draw in money for several evolving sectors such as food processing, dairy farming, organic farming, cultivation of herbal plants, service sector and handicrafts. These sectors mostly constitute of SMEs.
