The two day mega event on entrepreneurship, Entrepreneur India 2012, organized by Franchise India on May 18-19 in New Delhi concluded with a huge success. The conference saw eminent industry experts and members of apex government bodies where they exchanged brimming ideas, inscribed guidelines and explicitly talked about growth opportunities for the new age entrepreneurs of India.
Giving insights about the event, Gaurav Marya, president, Franchise India, said, “A new breed of Indian entrepreneur has emerged that is looking beyond, thinking big and is exuding the confidence and courage required to head a global enterprise.” He added, “Entrepreneur India 2012 has been designed to host the forward thinking required by business owners who are keen on transformative growth to create a new leading India.”
The forum consisted of interactive sessions, leadership round-tables and career workshops bringing together sessions that addressed entrepreneurial challenges in key enterprise areas and presented tangible solutions to everyday workplace challenges of entrepreneurs.
Addressing the session on building an entrepreneur mindset, Sachin Marya, CEO, Franchise India said, “An entrepreneur mindset is about owning a big dream with a feasible action plans which should form the core vision.” Highlighting the four functional areas- revenue, resources, completion and entrepreneur focus, he urged budding entrepreneurs to build a mindset of nimble thinking and quick action.
The convention also gave away the awards to the deserving leaders in the entrepreneurial community in 17 different categories. While the esteemed “Entrepreneur of the Year 2012” award was bagged by Shantanu Prakash, founder, Educomp Solutions Ltd, Pawan Jain, CMD, Safexpress, won the “Lifetime Achievement award 2012”.
