Raymond Home from Raymond Limited has a product range that is available across 2000 Multi Brand Outlets( MBOs), 800 'The Raymond Shops' in the country and plans are underway to open a few exclusive stores for Raymond Home this year. Pankaj Saxena, Business Head, Raymond Home spoke to us and shared his thoughts on e-commerce trend and how Raymond Home is ready to compete with the international labels.

Any comments on the e-commerce trend? How much of your business profit is contributed via online channels? 

The e-commerce platform is extremely beneficial and the company along with its expansion plan will be utilising the platform to reach out to more customers across the length and breadth of the country. At present, Raymond Home is available on Flipkart, Snapdeal, Jabong, Fabfurnish, Bedbathmore, Fashionara, Amazon, Paytm etc. Our products are also available on RaymondNext.com.

How is Raymond Home ready to compete with the international labels already present and coming in the Indian market?

In order to compete with international labels, Raymond Home offers the best quality and high-end products to its customers in various fabrics and blends such as 100% cotton, 100% modal, 100% tencel, cotton viscose, pure wool and wool blends. Also, the internal design team follows international trends in order to meet our customer needs and expectations.

Will you scout for franchisees for Raymond Home or you prefer opening your own stores? 

We will be opening in both the formats but for now we are looking at franchisees only. Currently our stores are in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Cuttack.

What are your expansion plans for this year? How many stores you plan to open by 2015-16 and any cities you wish to tap particularly?

Raymond Home was launched in August 2013 but we were still evaluating the market and generating feedback of our existing products. Raymond Home has recently made its foray in the Indian Home Textile Market and we aim to increase its sales revenue through expansion route by launching 25 exclusive new Bed and Bath Stores this fiscal year. The stores will be smaller in size as compared to large format Raymond stores with an area of 1000 sq.ft.
