Chhota Bheem is a great brand and the favorite among kids: Prakash Nagpal

In an exclusive interview with retailer media, Prakash Nagpal, Owner, Green Gold Store- Ronak Enterprise expresses his thoughts of introducing exciting and attractive Chhota Bheem products for kids.

Tell us about your success story with the brand and how do you see the future projection?

When I started in 2012, we had our first exclusive store of Green Gold in India. The response has been great after that. There has been a great demand for Chhota Bheem products and it was wonderful to see excitement among kids. Also, being in a prime location and on the main road helped me to get more footfall.. Though, over the years I have seen many ups and downs in sales, which I think is because of the increase in TV programs and cartoons. The customer options in choices and variety has also increased a lot and also fake products have increased due to the popularity of Chhota Bheem. But, Bheem has been the primary driver in my sales and we look forward to the company introducing exciting and attractive products to get customers and increase business.

How does franchising help you grow youth business?

I think when I started Green Gold store; the company was still framing policies for franchising. It was very new to us, but over the years it has grown. In my case it worked well, while the company took care of brand management and inventory management. I just had to concentrate on sales and customer management.

What are the benefits you enjoyed while being associated with this brand?

Chhota Bheem is a great brand and favorite among kids. Chhota Bheem series not only entertains but also educates the kids. Also, with the growth of Mighty Raju, I have seen a great demand for the toys and games for both the brands. It’s wonderful to be associated with such brands and being a part of their growth.

How long did you take to breakeven?

We reached our break even in about a years’ time. The response was good.

Your take on franchising and why you choose the same to start your business

Franchising is a good option for people who want to start a business with low capital. I think in India it has started growing in the last few years and now there are many players in the market. But, to be successful there has to be equal contribution from both sides which will help capture the market.
