India can surely become the next global sourcing hub for skilled workforce. To make the most of this opportunity, Santosh Upadhyaya, Managing Director of S&S Care Skills Academy Pvt Ltd, is upbeat about tapping franchise route for spreading brand’s footprint across India.

Tell us in brief about your brand.

Care Skills Academy is one of the leading skill development centres in India. We offer skill development programmes, vocational training, job oriented courses and apprenticeship. At our job training institute, students acquire vocational and technical education and training to help them get their dream job. 

Throw light on placement and job assistance industry in India.

There is a huge requirement of skilled technicians in India as their percentage falls between nearly 10 to 15 per cent against the actual requirement. This industry falls under organised sector because most of brands under this segment are run by the corporates.

Why did you choose franchise route? What sort of training and support do you provide to your franchisees?

We adopted for franchising to scale up our venture and expand it all over India. Currently, we have five franchisees. We train and advice our franchisees right from the beginning.  We provide all the necessary tools and the required content to them. We also provide experienced trainers to guide them on how to run the business in accordance with our expectations.

We started this project in December, 2012 with an aim to impart skills to our nation like other growing countries. We are planning to open 100 institutes all over India by 2016.
