City International School which follows The Global Education Model of Schooling, or GEMS, was conceptualised by Dr Sunita Gandhi, Ph.D., Cambridge University.
She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Jagdish and Bharti Gandhi, founders of City Montessori School (CMS)- World`s Largest School to whom she has dedicated her new endeavour, the CIS.
She credits much of her own learning to the discussions and insights gained since early childhood in the home environment where breakfast, lunch and dinner talk was about education, and to the on-going engagement with schooling throughout her life.
Sunita Gandhi has spent 26 years abroad since she left India to do A-Levels in the UK.
She has lived in, trained teachers and established schools on three continents, besides traveling to and studying educational systems in 34 countries.
