Pureshield Car Glass Sealant, the nanotechnology based sealant for Automotive glass was unveiled for the Indian market at Auto World Expo 2011, at the Chennai Trade Centre.

The Sealant is a hydrophobic coating, which enhance visibility by repelling water, dirt and oils. The product went through extensive trials for the last 18 months, before it was optimised for Indian conditions.

Pureshield's exhibit at the Expo demonstrates this effect on a car windscreen. Water beads and rolls off the glass making it clean and clear. This effect makes wind screen wipers almost redundant, while driving at high speeds.

The sealant also reduces glare from oncoming traffic while driving at night, and substantially enhance the ease and safety by providing better visibility. Dust is also repelled, and impurities such as bird droppings are easily cleaned by pouring a bit of water over the glass.
